Using MOS-TANGRAM mail order software, any number of packages (theoretically up to 400,000 a day) can be sent from any number of warehouses (up to 999) using any number of shipping companies. Each article can be managed simultaneously in different warehouse locations with different control quantities and units. For example, the picking location, replenishment storage location and palette location can be managed separately in order to have the system generate the necessary replenishment lists. Areas of the warehouse or shelves can also be defined as a warehouse location.
MOS-TANGRAM software supports the entire process chain:
- Goods receipt: booking in warehouse stock, allocation of warehouse location and placement into storage, stock transfer (structured or random), labeling
- Warehouse management: pre-picking location, picking location, replenishment storage location, shipping location
- Order picking using paper or pocket PC: invoice = delivery note or article list for order assembly (picklist), bank transfer forms, return forms, shipping papers with one-level or multi-level picking (route optimized) for setup zones, carts or conveyor system
- Packaging: automatic check of assembled shipments for completeness and packing errors by means of barcode check, weight, package setup via individual article scanning, insertion of invoice/delivery note with package label
- Shipping: scanning by hand, cable or wireless scanner or keyboard of "Delivery list files" into the "Package deposit list” for logistics partners (Deutsche Post, Hermes, German Parcel, GLS, DPD, Deutscher Paketdienst or UPS), shipping papers, transfer lists/files, postage lists, tracking & tracing
- Release: bank collection or credit card debit if previously authorized, transfer of package numbers and entry into customer history as well as automatic shipping notification via email or text message
